In all honesty, it’s been over 10 years since the Silver Jews chose to throw in the towel. Except for documented discharges and reissues, there hasn’t been much movement from the band’s individuals in that time — that is until now.David Berman has propelled his first post-Silver Jews venture today, as Stereogum calls attention to. His gathering is called Purple Mountains, named after his blog, and they’re presenting themselves with introduction single “All My Happiness is Gone”.His first new music discharge since the Silver Jews’ Lookout Mountain, Lookout Sea in 2008, the single is included on a 12-inch. It was recorded at Jamdek in Chicago and comes nearby two extra remixes titled “All My Happiness isn’t right” and “All My Happiness is Long”. Melody credits recommend the new band is balanced by three individuals from the gathering Woods and Anna St. Louis.Due out through long-term name Drag City, the 12-inch single is just accessible at record stores and, per an included message (seen underneath), will never be discharged carefully. The uplifting news? A similar message guarantees fans that an appropriate Purple Mountains collection is en route in “two or three months”:
